Responsibilities

Safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Supervise daily workload of Craft and Maintenance Technicians.

Supervise effective preventive maintenance processes on all assigned infrastructure and utility systems to provide safe and reliable utility systems.

Improve preventive maintenance process and frequencies to improve productivity and effectiveness.

Assure accurate information is posted on labor & materials used on work completed on all A and PM work orders.

Monitor service contracts and negotiate with vendors and contractors.

Plan and consult in designing and initiating repairs, remodeling and construction projects when assigned.

Supervise special systems (pneumatic tubes, trash and linen systems) as assigned.

Maintain assigned operating budget within the acceptable +/- 2% variance, manage overtime to stay within guidelines and provide lead support of the Energy Initiative.

Manage customer response and Joint Commission compliance support; communicate daily with customers to assure quality service with minimum call backs.

Maintain inter‑departmental relationships to maximize responsiveness to customer needs and demands, collaborate closely with other shifts and departments, supervise outages on your shift, provide lead support to the EOC program and support all initiatives associated with Joint Commission readiness (ready every day).

Manage employee workload, document staff and team performance, metrics management, effectively schedule work for the front‑line staff, supervise shift coverage and hand‑off of backlog to subsequent shift supervisor, work closely with the Planner/Scheduler and WCC team, effectively track workload and schedule compliance, supervise work orders status, monitor staff and team members performance, manage assets assigned, assure accurate time sheets, review metrics and meet performance expectations, provide input and assessment on hiring, evaluations and promotions, ensure employees complete all training and meet assigned goals.

Other duties as assigned. Employees are considered essential personnel for all emergency situations and may be expected to call in or respond to a call‑in emergency but are not eligible for on‑call pay.

Qualifications Education:

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred: Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

Work Experience:

Required: Five years in one or more craft areas including three years of lead/supervisory experience.

Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.

Preferred: Ability to work within the Microsoft Windows environment and experience working within a CMMS environment; healthcare experience and/or supervisory experience in facilities or maintenance.

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred: Texas Driver's License (Class A, B or C).

Preferred: Journeyman's license in one craft.

Salary and Work Schedule Salary range: $88,000 - $132,000 per year. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
