Patient Care and Prevention Facilities (PC&PF) is fundamental to the daily operations of MD Anderson Cancer Center. This department ensures all of the hospital's facilities are safe, operational, and compliant with accreditation standards. It fosters an environment of growth and professional development by cultivating the skills necessary to oversee the vital maintenance operations needed throughout the institution. PC&PF also plays a longitudinal role for the institution in overseeing the construction of new facilities and the modernization of existing buildings through new software and monitoring initiatives. All of this makes PC&PF a vital and integral department in delivering world class cancer care to patients. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in healthcare facilities management or supervisory experience in maintenance operations. They should demonstrate technical expertise in plant equipment and systems, combined with leadership skills to manage teams effectively in a dynamic hospital environment. This individual thrives in fast‑paced settings, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission requirements. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm The salary range is $88,000 - $110,000 - $132,000. Benefits

Safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure efficiency and productivity. Supervises daily workload of Craft and Maintenance Technicians. Supervises effective PM processes on all assigned infrastructure and utility systems to provide safe and reliable utility systems. Improves PM process and frequencies to improve productivity and effectiveness. Monitors service contracts and negotiate with vendors/contractors. Plans and consults in designing and initiating repairs, remodeling and construction projects when assigned. Supervises Special Systems: pneumatic tubes, trash and linen systems as assigned. Maintains assigned operating budget within the acceptable +/-2% variance. Provide lead support of the Energy Initiative. Manages Customer Response and JC Compliance Support; communicates daily with customers to assure quality service. Collaborate closely with other shifts and departments; supervises outages on their shift. Support the EOC program and Joint Commission readiness initiatives. Manages employee workload, performance, metrics, and scheduling. Ensures staff complete all training and meet assigned goals. Education

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Work Experience

Required: Five years in one or more craft areas including three years lead/supervisory experience. Preferred: Ability to work within the Microsoft Windows environment and experience in a CMMS environment; healthcare experience and/or supervisory experience in facilities or maintenance. Licenses & Certifications

Preferred: Texas Driver's License Class A, B or C; Journeyman's license in one craft. Other Requirements
