The Business Development Analyst 2 (BDA2) position exists to provide support to the Director, Business Development Analysis, the Business Services & Strategy team, and Focus on the Family’s ministry owners. The BDA2 will support ministry owners in planning, prioritization, evaluation, and decision‑making, will engage in development and will be accountable for monitoring ministry goals and budgets, and providing business analysis of ministry activities. The BDA2 will also support Business Leads in managing the financial processes through key ministry teams.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Supports Director, Business Dev Analysis in the maintenance and analysis of Business Intelligence/Impact Centers’ ministry objectives

Maintains an intimate understanding of Business Intelligence/Impact Centers’ performance regarding ministry objectives

Under the direction of Director, Business Dev Analysis, provides in‑depth metrics analysis of prioritized activities

Supports Business Leads in planning annual budgets and monitoring execution of ongoing financial plans

As directed by and in co‑ordination with Director, Business Dev Analysis supports Business Leads in development of Business Cases, and is specifically accountable for financial detail build‑out

Oversees management of budget and expense tracking for business leads, including but not limited to: interacts with Purchasing Agent(s) to assist with invoice/payment resolution

Manages source code set‑up (finance piece) and maintenance for GL assignment and designation language

Engages appropriate Financial Service Team (Accounting) to coordinate information relating to projects’ financial (GL) activity

Manages ongoing changes to original budget (CEC process)

Under the direction of Director, Business Dev Analysis supports business leads & senior leadership in planning, prioritization, and decision‑making processes, including engaging with the Reporting group on the design and maintenance of the reports portfolio for business leads and senior leadership

Constructs and maintains complex spreadsheets and databases to facilitate monitoring, reporting, and analysis of business activities

Leads a cross‑functional team to enhance and compile necessary analysis

Evaluates Key Ministry Indicator data and provides analysis and insight to Director, Business Dev Analysis, Business Leads and Senior Leadership

Under direction of Director, Business Dev Analysis, leads cross‑functional teams in market analysis efforts

Participates in cross functional team assignments as required

Other Duties/Responsibilities

May provide advanced support to high profile, more complex ministry segments in the following areas: Key Ministry Indicator assessment/analysis, Business Case detail build‑out, managing the Purchase Requisition Process, financial analysis, both lead and participate in cross‑functional teams, budgeting, and forecasting

Will be called upon to provide more advanced/higher level analysis for projects as needed

Acts as a backup to other Business Analysts in his/her absence

Pursues ongoing continuing education regarding business development standards, best practices, and industry trends

Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business

5‑7 years of experience in Financial/Business Analysis (or equivalent work experience)

Previous experience in coordinating strategy and budget

Previous experience in coordinating business process is preferred

Pay Range $70,720 to $81,120
