HS Science Teacher Clover Garden School is a dynamic, tuition‑free K‑12 public charter school located in Burlington, North Carolina. Established in 2001, we serve a diverse community of over 960 students from Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Orange, and Wake counties. Our mission is to foster community, generate enthusiasm, challenge students academically, and produce successful citizens. Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic and student‑centered High School Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching one or more science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics), and will be dedicated to engaging students through inquiry‑based instruction and real‑world applications of science.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned science lessons
Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners
Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor and report student progress
Create a safe and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student achievement
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related science field (Master’s degree preferred)
North Carolina Professional Educator’s License (or ability to obtain one)
Demonstrated knowledge of high‑school science content and pedagogy
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to the mission and values of Clover Garden School
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience in a high‑school setting
Valid North Carolina teaching license (or ability to obtain)
Familiarity with differentiated instruction and technology integration
Experience working in a charter school environment
Competitive salary based on experience and licensure
