Head HS Girls Track Coach

Head High School Girls Track Coach This is a full‑time on‑site role located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Head Coach will oversee and manage the entire girls’ track program, including planning and conducting practice sessions, developing training plans, and ensuring athletes’ safety and well‑being. Responsibilities also include mentoring and motivating student‑athletes, coordinating with school administration, promoting academic achievement alongside athletic performance, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations of the school and athletic associations.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in track and field coaching, including knowledge of techniques, training, and competition strategies

Strong leadership and communication skills to mentor and guide student‑athletes

Ability to plan and organize practices, schedules, and events effectively

Familiarity with safety protocols and the requirements of athletic associations

Passion for working with high school students and fostering both athletic and academic development

Ability to work collaboratively with the school community and other staff members

Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and relevant coaching certifications are desirable
