In-House Driver Trainer (Dot Transportation, Inc.)
As an In-House Driver Trainer, you will prepare and conduct training programs for current Dot Transportation, Inc. drivers and newly hired drivers and assist with the Driver Training Program at all locations.
Pay Range Base pay range: $64,479.00/yr - $96,718.00/yr
Salary Range: $64,479 to $96,718 annually, plus bonus opportunity.
Responsibilities
Assign new drivers to driver trainers and monitor the progress of new drivers in coordination with local Transportation management.
Conduct recurrent accident training & Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Hours of Service training.
Maintain driver training curriculum and develop course materials and evaluation testing.
Assist with pre-hire road trip evaluations.
Coordinate/conduct all OSHA required driver power equipment training and certifications for compliance.
Assist with job fairs, recruiting programs, and safety awareness in the community.
Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
Requirements
Class A CDL with hazardous endorsement or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
A safe driving record.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Optional Qualifications
Professional training, teaching or instructing experience.
Role Specifics
Travel – Occasional overnight travel to internal events and trainings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
