Overview

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic freight forwarding customers. This role is focused on relationship management, commercial performance, and service delivery, acting as the primary point of contact for key clients across ocean, air, and associated logistics services. You will work closely with internal operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Director of Accounts and Product Duties and Responsibilities

Key Account Ownership Own and manage a portfolio of strategic key freight forwarding accounts Serve as the primary relationship owner and escalation point for assigned customers Partner closely with operations teams to ensure consistent, high-quality shipment execution Proactively manage service performance, identifying risks and resolving issues before escalation Own account pricing structures, ensuring rates are accurately maintained, commercially aligned, and support margin growth Maintain, review, and enforce client SOPs Work closely with Procurement to manage monthly rate cards and customer-specific pricing Ensure data accuracy and integrity across CargoWise and Navia’s customer portal (Navia Hub) Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency Operations Management Maintain strong oversight of origin management to support order flow and on-time execution Coordinate with origin operations teams and overseas agents, providing clear guidance on carriers, routings, and booking strategies Maintain end-to-end account oversight to ensure operational standards, KPIs, and customer expectations are met Provide operational leadership and coverage during team absences as required Review and audit files in line with agreed KPIs and compliance standards Support urgent or time-critical shipments when required Perform additional duties as directed by management Key Account Implementations Lead and support the onboarding of new key accounts in partnership with the Account and Product Director Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure a structured and efficient implementation process Maintain a strong working knowledge of Navia’s systems and platforms, including Navia Hub and Microsoft Power BI Review reporting and conduct internal audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency Ensure customer master data is maintained and kept up to date Provide commercial leadership for assigned key accounts, including pricing strategy and rate management Support ad hoc quoting for key customers as required Ensure agreed carrier and pricing strategies are executed as planned Partner with sales management to identify margin improvement and value-add opportunities Participate in client calls, reviews, and in-person meetings as required Skills & Experience

5+ years of strong working knowledge of international transportation and logistics (ocean/air/3PL/4PL/PO management). Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Operational knowledge of Cargowise, including PAVE, Workflow, and Tasks Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) Proficiency in supply chain concepts and processes (international supply chain, compliance, distribution and/or procurement). Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities. Financial and accounting acumen. A well-organized self-starter who is highly detail-oriented. Team player able to empower staff and drive momentum and positivity. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or international business. Basic knowledge of ED/API concepts and processes and ERP systems (JDE/SAP, etc.) Experience working on the Shipper/Importer side of the business Physical Requirements

The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting while working at a computer and occasional fast-paced operations and events. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and co-workers. Regular use of the telephone, virtual meetings, and e-mail for communication. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculator, and copiers.
