Job Summary
Machine Operator – Full-time position at Andersen Corporation. This role involves material selection and inspection, operating machining equipment, ensuring quality standards, conducting safety audits, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Select proper material
Inspect material
Operate machining equipment
Assure quality standards are understood and met
Work constructively with others
Perform safety audits
Follow standard work, control plans, and written instructions
Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Coach and train new associates
Change and install tooling (when applicable)
Compile daily production reports
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
Identify shortages and request delivery through proper personnel
Follow proper procedures for inventory control
Maintain inventory of supplies
Assure conformance with the 5S program
Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures
Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals
Assist with hazardous waste management (Koch Dip equipment)
Qualification and Skill Requirements
High School Graduate/GED or prior experience with Eagle Window and Door
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Ability to use measuring equipment and read prints
Basic product knowledge
Understanding of related safety policies and procedures
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent bending and stooping
Completion of lock‑out/tag‑out training
Demonstrated ability to be trained on and operate specialized equipment
Oral communication skills
Pay Range $22.20 – $25.34 per hour
