$52,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking CNC Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts.
Set up CNC machines, including tooling, work offsets, and program adjustments.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience operating, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and various material properties.
Commitment to maintaining quality control standards and adherence to shop safety protocols.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Direct G-code programming and optimization skills
