Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts.
Set up CNC machines, including tooling, workholding, and program offsets.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
Perform in-process quality inspections using various measuring instruments.
Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or program issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including basic machine maintenance.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
Strong understanding and practical application of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
Experience with tool selection, offset adjustments, and minor program edits.
Knowledge of various metal properties and machining processes.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM)
Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment
Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
Experience with multi-axis (4/5-axis) machining
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
