Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) to produce parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and programs to maintain part quality and optimize production.
Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) for quality control.
Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
Strong understanding of cutting tools, workholding techniques, and various machining processes.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) and G-code programming
Proficiency in advanced metrology tools, including CMM operation or programming
Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills for CNC equipment
Experience operating and setting up multi-axis (4-axis or 5-axis) CNC machines
Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing designs and verifying tool paths
