Position Summary Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Sit‑Down Forklift Operators in Jackson, Tennessee. The role involves operating sit‑down forklifts and performing various warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $17.25 per hour
Overtime Pay: $25.88 per hour
Shift Differential: $1.00
Schedule: Night shift (2‑2‑3 schedule) rotating weekdays and weekends from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
Payroll: Weekly

Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading trucks.
Handle warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and within a diverse work environment.
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, with good attendance.
Detail‑oriented and accurate under pressure.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods and work using health & safety methods.
Available for flexible schedule, various work shifts.
Important Note Some positions may require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background checks as required by the customer.
