Job Summary The Nutrition Center Manager is responsible for managing the fueling station student employees and food services provided to student‑athletes. The Manager collaborates with Sports Dietitians, food vendors, and BYU Dining Services to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations of the BYU Athletics Fueling Station. Primary duties include inventory management, scheduling, receiving deliveries, placing orders, budgeting, adherence to state food‑handling guidelines, hiring and training employees, and collaborating with dietitians to provide nutrition education via electronic message board and social media.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sports Dietitians, food vendors, and BYU Dining Services
Inventory management of all food and beverage products
Scheduling and receiving deliveries
Placing orders and budgeting
Ensuring adherence to state guidelines for proper food handling
Hiring, training, and scheduling nutrition center employees
Providing nutrition education through electronic message board and social media
Qualifications Required
A firm commitment to BYU’s mission
Bachelor’s degree
Food Handlers Permit (required)
ServSafe certification (required)
Willingness to adhere to BYU, NCAA, and Big 12 Conference policies and procedures, including the university’s Honor Code
Required temple recommend for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics
Registered or Certified Dietitian
