Key Responsibilities
Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment for optimal performance.
Conduct first-piece inspections and verifications to ensure product quality standards are met.
Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, machine malfunctions, and process deviations.
Optimize machine parameters and processes during setup to maximize efficiency and reduce scrap.
Document setup procedures, machine settings, and maintenance activities accurately.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on production machinery.
Solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control standards.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with PLC programming or HMI interfaces
Basic CAD/CAM software proficiency
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
Welding or basic fabrication skills
