We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Industrial Electricians. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in a manufacturing environment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in industrial machinery, motor controls, and automation systems. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies. Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other industrial control devices. Calibrate and test electrical systems and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and functionality. Recommended Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent state/provincial licensing. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Demonstrated experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting, modification, and repair. Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electrical systems, machinery, and control circuits. Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial safety standards (e.g., Lockout/Tagout). Experience with motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and power distribution systems. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) beyond basic troubleshooting Robotics maintenance and troubleshooting experience Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) Instrumentation and calibration experience Advanced training or certification in Arc Flash safety Why Pivot Group
