Automotive Technician A

A Day in the Life of a Technician A
Complete routine scheduled maintenance services on automobiles and trucks, as directed by a Manager or Service Advisor.
Perform basic automotive repair, adjustments, and maintenance procedures (oil changes, tire replacement & repairs, and general vehicle maintenance).
Perform automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders.
Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, and advanced repair and maintenance services, electric and diagnostic repairs, drivability diagnostics, etc.
Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for and complete digital vehicle inspections.
Test‑drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after necessary repairs and maintenance are complete.
Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience.
Work with, mentor, and train less experienced technicians.

We Are Looking for Candidates Who Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or technical school certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Five years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.
Knowledgeable about automotive/truck systems, tools, and technical resources; able to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance.
Consistently demonstrates proper use of equipment and tools and maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Delivers exceptional customer service and improves customer service scores.
Preferred Qualifications
ASE certifications (A1–A8) with Master Technician designation or equivalent combination.
ASE L1 – Advanced Engine Performance Specialist.
State inspection certificate where applicable.
AC 609 Certification.
Work Environment
Exposure to intermittent loud noises and odors.
Job requires standing, walking, and normal physical mobility (reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying automotive parts up to approximately 80 lbs).
Must have own tools appropriate for skill level.
Ability to work in heated environments where some locations lack air conditioning; fans are present in all facilities.
Ability to remain standing on concrete during the entire shift.
