Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive quality records and reports.
Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as required.
Assist in the investigation of quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting engineering blueprints.
Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and statistical process control (SPC) principles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operation.
ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Improvement Associate).
Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
