Customer Service Representative
– Gateway Services Inc.
Gateway Services Inc. is North America’s leading accredited pet aftercare provider. The role is based at the Final Gift Pet Memorial Center, 760 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953.
Base pay range:
$21.00/hr - $24.00/hr . Work hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 6am‑4:30pm. 40 hours per week minimum.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for veterinary clinics, providing reliable and compassionate service.
Build trusted relationships with clinic staff and families through empathy, respect, and professionalism.
Safely handle pets in the aftercare process with dignity and care.
Manage customer needs and solve problems effectively.
Support Gateway’s reputation for exceptional service in every interaction.
Address service issues proactively and escalate when necessary.
Educate clinics on services, policies, and procedures.
Maintain proper documentation, tracking, and vehicle/equipment standards.
Promote new products and merchandise to clinic staff; manage promotional inventory.
Help with administrative tasks related to client accounts, including billing inquiries.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
Maintain a positive, welcoming attitude at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required); prior experience in customer service, account management, or sales highly desirable.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and empathy skills.
Organized, dependable, and committed to high-quality customer service.
Comfortable with driving responsibilities and active throughout the day.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Basic math, computer, and CRM system proficiency.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pet lovers and pet parents especially well-suited.
Physical capability to lift and transport animals securely.
