Responsibilities
Customer Service – Provide assistance and services to patients, families, staff, and external agencies in the accurate completion of patient registration, admission, and scheduling; investigate and resolve customer requests, questions or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures.
Revenue Cycle Support – Support the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory functions by ensuring that necessary data, information, and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system; inform management of system errors and recommend changes as needed.
Compliance – Complete and authenticate all documents and questionnaires that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH).
Safety – Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying patients, recognizing special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators.
HIPAA/Confidentiality – Maintain confidentiality, protect and safeguard patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times during collection, use, and storage; access only the information and records necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of work experience in a related discipline.
