Position Description Flynn Panera’s cafes are upscale, friendly locations serving baked breads, pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. No fryers or late nights; focus on morning operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide outstanding leadership to the cafe team.

Passion for the industry, inspire others, coach, counsel, create a profitable environment, deliver exceptional customer experience.

Maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, safety, and facility management.

Supervise up to 75 staff members, ensuring top‑quality service.

Oversee overall business performance, including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities, bakery operations, and catering.

Analyze and plan restaurant sales and profitability; create and execute plans for sustained profitability.

Act as primary conduit of information between associates and management.

Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet staffing par levels.

Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within company guidelines and cultural values.

Manage budget, control costs, coordinate operations during scheduled shifts.

Greet customers, conduct table visits to ensure satisfaction.

Co‑mentor associates through one‑on‑one meetings, performance documentation, and reviews.

Anticipate problems and take action to prevent them.

Serve as primary resource for resolving associate questions.

Ensure associates are properly trained and competent in all aspects of food service and customer support.

Qualifications

At least 2–3 years of Hospitality Management experience.

A degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.

Food Management Certifications a plus.
