Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity invites experienced registered nurses to provide specialized care in a Stepdown unit located in Fulton, MO. The role requires a blend of acute patient care skills, line management proficiency, and familiarity with critical care equipment and procedures. Nurses will engage with diverse patient populations, including surgical, medical, and neuro cases, delivering advanced nursing interventions with an emphasis on safety, precision, and patient comfort. Key responsibilities include managing complex IV lines, vascular access devices, and critical drips such as neosynephrine and amiodarone. Familiarity with airway management using CPAP, BiPAP, and trach care is essential, alongside epidural and PCA pump handling for orthopedic, medical-surgical, and oncology patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio typically stands at 1:3, supporting attentive, individualized care. Floating across units may be required to provide comprehensive coverage. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse licensure with proven experience in Stepdown or similar critical care settings Proficient in IV insertion, PICC/central line, A-line, and dialysis fistula care Experience with vasoactive drip titration and advanced cardiac monitoring, such as 12 Lead EKG and cardioversion (preferred) Skilled in airway management, including tracheostomy and CPAP/BiPAP use Familiarity with epidural and PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and wound vac systems Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient acuity and engage in unit floating as necessary Location Overview:Fulton, Missouri, offers a welcoming community blending small-town charm with access to essential amenities.
