Forklift Operator 1st Shift
Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Forklift Operator for the 1st shift in Montgomery, Alabama.
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour
Overtime Pay: $28.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading trucks.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
Valid Forklift Operator’s License.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Team‑player mindset and ability to work within a diverse work environment.
Proficient at creating and maintaining professional relationships at all levels.
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record.
Initiative and high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work using health and safety methods.
Flexibility to work varying shifts.
Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
