Assistant Football Coach/Quarterbacks Coach/Classroom Teacher Job Description
Reports To
:
Head Football Coach.
Athletic Director.
Payment Rate
:
According to the Wynne School District Salary Schedule.
Qualifications
:
Current Arkansas Teaching License.
Current Arkansas Coaching Endorsement.
1st Aid/CPR Certification.
CDL Preferred.
Assistant Coaching Responsibilities:
Coach QBs individually and in groups on throwing mechanics, reads, footwork, and decision-making.
Develop and implement QB-specific drills and training programs.
Teach offensive concepts and game strategy to QBs.
Analyze game film for QB performance and strategy.
Team Assistance:
Assist the Head Coach in designing and running practices and offensive game plans.
Instruct players on general football techniques, rules, and safety.
Help organize equipment, manage team logistics, and assist with player eligibility/insurance.
Supervise players during practices, games, and travel.
Serve as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline.
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on and off the field.
Administration & Communication:
Handle administrative duties like record-keeping, and statistics.
Stay current on coaching techniques, rules, and league policies.
Necessary Skills:
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Physical ability to perform coaching duties.
Classroom Teaching Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, use various teaching methods, and integrate technology.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Design and grade assignments/tests, track student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management:
Establish rules, manage behavior, and create a safe, respectful, and organized learning space.
Student Support:
Provide individualized help, support social-emotional development, and adapt lessons for special needs students.
Communication:
Maintain regular contact with parents/guardians and collaborate with colleagues and school staff.
Professionalism:
Participate in professional development, stay current with best practices, and fulfill school duties.
Core Duties :
Deliver instruction for specific subjects or grade levels.
Prepare materials and manage classroom resources.
Monitor student performance and development.
Assign and grade homework, tests, and projects.
Communicate with parents about student progress.
Manage student behavior and enforce school policies.
Prepare students for standardized tests.
