Position: Administrative Assistant – Home Study and Post‑Release Services (HS/PRS) program

Program Overview The Home Study and Post‑Release Services (HS/PRS) program supports unaccompanied children aged 0‑17½. The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact and provides essential administrative support to staff and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Act as a receptionist for the region, greeting visitors and answering phone calls professionally.
Provide a welcoming environment and serve as the first point of contact for guests.
Assist with organization and clerical duties, including file organization, mail distribution, and office supply audits.
Coordinate travel and accommodations for program staff.
Process food orders and manage agency event supplies.
Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and maintain records of proceedings.
Retrieve mail and perform other errands as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in a busy human services office preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Bilingual in English and Spanish; English writing proficiency required, Spanish writing and reading proficiency required.
Ability to work with diverse cultural groups, including LGBTQ+ children and non‑English speakers.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license in the assigned region.
Physical Requirements
Work at a computer for 5‑7 hours per day.
Perform basic clerical tasks (copying, stapling, filing).
Answer phones, process mail, and lift packages up to 50 lbs.
Use public transportation and walk stairs or several blocks.
Schedule Monday‑Friday, 9 a.m.‑5 p.m.; flexibility required to meet program needs.
