Description Reports to: Principal
Principal Duties and Responsibilities St. Pius X/St. Leo School is seeking a passionate, dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our faith-filled, diverse learning community for the 2026-27. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, nurturing the whole child, and supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. The Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth. Teachers work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and administration to support student success.
Requirements
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate, and differentiated instruction, aligned with curriculum standards
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
Assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration
Participate in school liturgies, events, and professional development
Support the mission and philosophy of the Catholic Church and the school
Education and Experience
Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or in process of becoming certified)
Safe Environment Trained
Expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment in content area
Experience working with Elementary and Early Childhood students is preferred.
