Job Description
Start your new Maintenance Technician Electrical career with our client in Blythewood, SC. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, PLC, and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industrial electrical standards, using hand tools and computer systems to manage work orders and source repair parts. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Shift Information
First Shift | 4x10 Hour Days
General Requirements
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, PLC, electrical, and fabrication systems
Strong electrical knowledge with proven diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities
Understanding of industrial electrical standards and local codes
Basic knowledge of arc flash safety standards
Proficiency with hand tools for maintenance and repair
Competency in navigating computer systems for managing work orders and sourcing repair parts
Current South Carolina Master Electrician license – preferred
Essential Functions
Troubleshoot and repair automated metalworking machinery to ensure optimal performance
Install electrical circuits for 120V, 230V, and 480V systems in compliance with industry standards
Plan and execute electrical installations per machine nameplate specifications
Bend and install electrical conduit, wire breaker panels, and junction boxes; ensure correct wiring termination
Maintain and troubleshoot main switchgear panels for facility operations
Install and maintain plant lighting to support a safe and efficient work environment
Update and maintain one‑line drawings for the main electrical system, including circuit tracing and labeling
Support additional facility maintenance tasks as needed
Collaborate with team members to achieve facility maintenance goals
Uphold 5S standards in all maintenance and facility areas
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; and/or
35+ years of related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
