The NC Department of Adult Corrections is the largest state agency in North Carolina. It is responsible for safeguarding lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation, as well as for the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violations of state law. Responsibilities

Perform electronics preventative maintenance and replacement of systems at the Raleigh Satellite Maintenance Team. Complete any assigned work independently and in collaboration with supervisors. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents. Diagnose and repair electronic systems, equipment, and machinery. Assist with the routine maintenance of building automation, fire alarm, video surveillance, and security control systems. Required Experience & Skills

Experience in construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics systems, equipment, and machinery. Demonstrated experience in installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of head‑end control equipment used with Class A loop building fire alarm life safety systems, internet and phone communication systems, tool control systems, video surveillance, electronic and pneumatic security control systems, perimeter security systems, and/or building automation. Experience installing low‑voltage conduit and circuitry for the systems listed above. Proficiency with standard test equipment to diagnose electronic components. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Minimum Education & Experience

Associate’s degree in electronics from an accredited institution. At least 2 years of progressive experience in repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems, including design responsibilities. Education and experience may be combined under the equivalency guide. Assessment for licensure may be required based on job duties. Benefits
