Assistant Cafe Department Head – Kimberton Whole Foods
Full‑time, career‑minded position located at the Kimberton store.
Schedule & Availability
Full‑time, 40 hours per week. 8‑hour shifts, 5 days a week.
Tuesday through Saturday work week. Availability to work opening and closing shifts between 7:00 am‑6:30 pm. One weekend shift required each week.
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older.
Hourly pay $19.00‑$21.00 depending on experience.

Daily Operations
Provide exceptional customer service to all.
Prepare food and drink at espresso, smoothie, fresh juice, and made‑to‑order stations.
Follow KWF ordering SOP to maintain necessary inventory.
Use KWF merchandising best practices to keep displays clean, tidy, and organized.
Perform applicable inventory management functions.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date product signage throughout the department.
Work with Store Manager & Food Service Category Manager to maintain sales performance.
Ensure team members follow procedures with daily production sheets and food preparation for efficiency.
Coordinate with Café Department Head and Food Service Category Manager on weekly schedule and food prep needs.
Gain full knowledge of all recipes and train team members to execute consistently.
Schedule daily coverage for Café shifts.
Participate in Manager on Duty assignments as needed.
Perform other duties assigned.
Team & Leadership
Participate in the hiring, evaluation, training, coaching, and development of staff with the Store Manager.
Support store experience by upholding KWF Guidelines for staff appearance, energy, quality, and cleanliness.
Participate in scheduled management and departmental meetings to ensure core operational functions are followed.
Act as a servant leader, fostering team development and cohesion through service to each other.
Physical Capabilities
Full sense range—vision, hearing, sense of smell—to read labels, distinguish color, aroma, and communicate with customers and co‑workers.
Lifting, gripping, and carrying up to 50‑75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
Stooping, squatting, and kneeling to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
Walking short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
Standing—prolonged standing.
Work environment—movement‑based, mostly walking and standing rather than sitting.
Climate—ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back‑stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time.
