Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and be comfortable working at heights frequently.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and at least 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience with commercial HVAC/R and building controls (or 4 years of such experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors. Eligible for bonus incentive. The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00–$45.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
