Key Job Responsibilities

Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.

Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision.

Job Skills

Following established methods and procedures

Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.

Competency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, schematics or other technical documents.

Operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.

Ability to read measuring, torque and leveling devices.

Basic ability in interpreting engineered drawings.

Perform and complete duties from written and verbal commands.

Understanding the use of hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.

Minimum Requirements

2-5 years of demonstrated assembly experience.

Knowledge of structural material, plate material and pipe sizes and their material compositions.

Good ability in interpreting engineered drawings, schematics, or other technical documents.

Familiar with instrumentation, tubing, valve types and mechanical fasteners.

Knowledge of wall panels, door framing and hardware.

Understanding the use of hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Work performed in an non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Exposed to any number of elements such as hot and cold temperatures, but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Requires normal vision and absence of colorblindness.

Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50 lbs materials.

Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

The use of Safety Glasses is required.

The use of earplugs is recommended.

Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.

Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility.
