About the Role
We’re looking for a highly responsible, detail-oriented, and self‑sufficient HR Generalist (People Operations Generalist) who can help scale a fast‑growing global organization. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, anticipate needs, execute flawlessly, and handle day‑to‑day HR operations with confidence and good judgment. This role is operational, tactical and execution heavy.
This role will be the operational engine behind HR—supporting a global workforce, scaling processes, and freeing up the Head of People to focus on strategic initiatives.
This role is for someone with solid foundational HR experience (2–3+ years) who wants to grow, thrives in ambiguity, and enjoys being the person who “gets things done” without handholding.
Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Support
Manage day‑to‑day HR administration including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and documentation.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions across the U.S., Canada, UK & NL.
Maintain employee records and workflows in BambooHR—ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, IT provisioning requests, and internal onboarding schedules.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
Support full cycle recruiting for multiple roles – schedule interviews, follow ups, candidate communication.
Manage ATS data and keep processes running smoothly.
Ensure an exceptional candidate experience through proactive communication and follow‑up.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
Assist with U.S. and Canada payroll preparation and data validation (provide any changes, bonuses, adjustments, PTO).
Provide employee support with benefits questions (medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k), etc.).
Track benefit elections and life event changes; coordinate with brokers when necessary.
Provide Verification of Employment.
Compliance & Policy Support
Help maintain HR templates, SOPs, and policy updates.
Support I‑9 verification.
Track mandatory training (e.g., harassment training) and ensure completion.
People Programs & Projects
Assist with compensation updates, performance cycles, and promotions.
Support new HR initiatives—global expansion, and process improvements.
Suggest efficiency improvements and automate where possible.
What We’re Looking For
B.A/B.S in related field.
2–3 years of HR experience (generalist, coordinator, or HR operations role).
Experience supporting a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment.
Exceptionally reliable, attention to detail, follow‑through, and organizational skills.
Solid understanding of U.S. benefits fundamentals; exposure to Canada or UK a plus.
Strong coordination skills—recruiting, scheduling, candidate follow‑up.
Someone who thinks independently, anticipates needs, and proactively solves problems.
Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Excellent communication skills—clear, friendly, and polished.
Comfortable wearing many hats and shifting priorities quickly.
Hands‑on experience with BambooHR (highly preferred).
Experience with payroll support, multi‑state exposure preferred.
MUST Live in the CST or EST time zone.
