Job Title: HR Generalist (HRIS / People Data)
Reports to: HR HR Director Position Summary
We are seeking an HR Generalist with strong capabilities in HRIS administration, people data analytics, and benefits administration, with a working understanding of payroll processes. This role partners closely with HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, process compliance, and an excellent employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
HRIS & People Data Analytics (Core)
Serve as the primary HRIS administrator: manage employee data, workflows, security roles, and system configurations. Maintain data integrity through regular audits, error resolution, and process improvements. Build and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports/dashboards (headcount, turnover, recruiting funnels, attendance/leave trends, benefits participation, compliance metrics). Develop KPIs for HR operations and support leadership with insights and recommendations. Support HRIS upgrades, integrations, and testing; document SOPs and train users as needed. Benefits Administration (Core)
Administer medical/dental/vision, life/STD/LTD, 401(k), HSA/FSA, COBRA, and other company benefit programs. Manage open enrollment end-to-end (communications, eligibility, vendor coordination, audits, and issue resolution). Partner with brokers/vendors on renewals, invoices, eligibility files, and escalations. Support employee questions and provide benefits guidance while maintaining confidentiality. HR Generalist Support (General)
Support onboarding/offboarding, employee records, and HR compliance documentation. Assist with policy implementation, employee relations support, and HR programs (performance, engagement, trainings). Coordinate leave administration (FMLA/STD/LTD) and ensure proper documentation and tracking. Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and internal policies. Payroll Support (Preferred)
Support payroll inputs and audits: new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, garnishments, and benefit deductions reconciliation. Coordinate with payroll provider or finance team to ensure accurate payroll processing. Assist with timekeeping system validations and troubleshooting. Qualifications
2–5+ years of HR Generalist experience, with proven ownership in HRIS + reporting/analytics + benefits. Strong analytical and reporting skills: advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data validation); familiarity with dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus. Hands-on HRIS experience (Workday / UKG / ADP / Paycom / Paylocity / BambooHR or similar). Strong knowledge of benefits administration and employee eligibility rules. Understanding of payroll fundamentals (cycles, deductions, audits); direct payroll processing experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to handle sensitive information. Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset. Preferred
Experience supporting manufacturing or multi-shift operations (if applicable). Experience with compliance reporting (EEO-1, ACA, OSHA-related HR reporting) a plus.
