Administrative Coordinator I

Location: Clemson, SC

Salary: $39,764.00 - $54,000.00

Job Summary Provides administrative support, including budgetary, procurement, and administrative functions. Exemplifies the Clemson University Police Department mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

50% – Financial Processing and Reporting: Processes and submits invoices into TigerHub for payment with accurate account coding; manages PCard transactions; supports department PCard holders; deposits checks for CUPD and CUFD; electronically maintains purchasing and budget documents.

20% – Procurement and Supply Management: Acts as central point-of-contact for departmental purchases, coordinates purchasing processes, ensures vendors are in BuyWays, sets up purchase orders, manages office supplies inventory.

20% – Operational and Administrative Support: Maintains vehicle maintenance records, manages facilities work orders, provides guidance on Concur processes, provides backup support to other Public Safety staff.

10% – Continuous Improvement, Communications & Other Duties: Leverages technology, explores improvement opportunities, maintains effective communication, performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree may substitute for required work experience.

Work experience: 1+ years.

Preferred Requirements

Education: 1st Associate's Degree – Business Administration, Administrative Office Technology, Accounting.

Work experience: 3+ years.

Responsibilities

Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities No Supervisory Duties – Not responsible for supervising employees.

Budgetary Responsibilities No Budget Responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Physical Requirements

75% – Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period.

50% – Walk or move about.

60% – Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself.

50% – Recognize or inspect visually.

Work Schedule Standard hours: 40 per week.

Compensation Information Expected salary range: $39,764.00 - $54,000.00.

Essential Personnel Level Normal Operations. Required to follow emergency facility closure directives; not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
