JR4379## STV currently has an opening in our Franklin, TN office for a Structural Engineer. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for the Transportation department. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.## ## ## ## ## ## **Responsibilities:*** ## Participate in a variety of planning, design, and construction projects.* ## Perform field inspections.* ## Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.* ## Use software to design structural elements such as bridges and retaining walls.* ## Develop construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.* ## Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and develop content for these meetings.## ## ## ## **Qualifications:*** ## A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering* ## A basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals* ## Familiarity with civil and structural design software* ## A strong desire to work with and help clients, public stakeholders, and fellow team members* ## Excellent written and oral communication skills* ## A desire to work on large multidisciplinary rail projects with fast-paced schedules, which require creative thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.* ## Valid driver’s license## ## ## ## ## **Other positive attributes:*** ## An engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required* ## Experience using MicroStation, OpenRail, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil3D* ## Construction site experience## Compensation Range:$58,672.52 - $78,230.03STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
