Our client is growing their multi-discipline engineering practice and is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibility, technical ownership, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while working closely with clients.
This is a direct hire position for our client.
Salary:
$70,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience
Location:
Greenville, SC (100% Onsite)
What You’ll Do As a PE Electrical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of electrical system design from concept through construction.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Design and engineer power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
Perform load calculations, short-circuit and fault current analysis, and coordination studies
Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring layouts, and technical specifications
Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
Support construction activities including site visits, submittal reviews, and commissioning
Coordinate designs with mechanical, civil, and structural teams
Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight
Interface with clients, utilities, and vendors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable state/local electrical codes
Previous Project Management experience
Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience a plus
Renewable energy systems (solar PV), generators, or UPS systems experience a plus
Client development or proposal writing experience a plus
