Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and assisting with critical accounting tasks. - Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system to ensure up-to-date records.
- Prepare and reconcile bank deposits and statements to maintain financial accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely reporting.
- Maintain well-organized financial records and filing systems for easy retrieval.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets as requested to support data analysis.
- Manage invoice processing, track expenses, and maintain communication with vendors.
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payment statements for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial operations.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong skills in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Experience with invoice processing and vendor management.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Macola is preferred.
- Understanding of purchase order reconciliation and financial compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
