LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager for a well-established, global industrial organization with a long operating history and a growing U.S. footprint. This role will lead the domestic accounting function and serve as a key partner to finance leadership, supporting month‑end close, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership, hands‑on technical accounting experience, and a proven ability to scale accounting operations in a complex business environment. This position offers visibility across the finance organization, ownership of core accounting processes, and the opportunity to develop and mentor a high‑performing team.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage the U.S. monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accruals and account reconciliations
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the accounting department, including supervision and development of accounting staff
Lead accounts payable operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls
Maintain and oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and detailed management analyses
Oversee preparation and compliance for sales and use tax, as well as other indirect and corporate tax filings
Support external reporting requirements, including assistance with SEC filings and financial statement preparation
Provide technical accounting research and guidance on new or complex accounting matters
Partner with finance leadership on continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting
Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
Support ad hoc projects and special initiatives for senior finance leadership
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading an accounting function
CPA strongly preferred
Demonstrated people management and team development experience
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving business environment
