Community Wide Scheduler, Radiology – UR Thompson Health
Job Objective The Community Wide Scheduler plays a vital role in assuring diagnostic care is made available to each patient through referrals and continuation of care, for appointments and services, providing patients and physician offices accurate information regarding patient preparation for testing.
Schedule & Compensation
Full Time – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (8.5 hours/day)
Pay Range: $19.40 - $22.50 per hour, based on experience
Tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 per year
Contribution and match on Retirement Plan

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all system departments, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals at Thompson Health.
Exhibit time management, keyboarding, and multi-tasking skills to support efficient department operations.
Apply working knowledge of diagnostic testing and understand complex scheduling issues for timely and appropriate patient testing.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s Degree preferred.
Computer skills including Meditech modules related to scheduling, ordering, resulting, and charging examinations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of diagnostic testing, medical terminology, and spelling.
ICD‑10/CPT coding experience preferred.
2–3 years of previous secretary/clerical medical office and/or healthcare services scheduling experience.
