What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Professionally manage communication from pet owners and veterinary professionals to support animal health and well‑being
Assist with daily operations of Veterinary Support, providing information and services to callers
Assess and triage cases of illnesses and injuries, referring to appropriate veterinary resources as needed
Maintain accurate case records and document findings using electronic record databases
Collaborate with management and external partners to address any arising issues
What is Required (Qualifications)
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
CVT license required in Illinois
Understanding of medical terminology and basic animal anatomy
Ability to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently
Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to changes in a fast‑paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in a veterinary practice or shelter
Customer service or client relations experience
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Strong active listening skills and ability to establish rapport quickly with clients
Ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and resilience in stressful situations
