State of South Carolina
Under general supervision of the Budget Director responsible for overseeing the activities of the agency wide Information Technology (IT) budget and Information Technology Services (ITS) budget throughout the year. Identify potential problem resolutions by determining or recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy, best practices and continuous process improvement related to IT and ITS budget process. Assists the Budget Director with conducting monthly and quarterly reviews of budget centers and performs other professional accounting / budget duties as required.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
A bachelor’s degree and three years of accounting, finance, or business-related experience. Ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and reporting software (e.g., SCEIS, SRM, etc.). High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines. Must have ability to analyze and interpret complex budgeting, auditing, and financial data. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate financial data for non-financial audiences. Ability to work collaboratively with program and fiscal teams.
