About the Position
Under the limited supervision of the HR Liaison for OSES (Offender Supervision & Enforcement Services), the investigator conducts extensive background investigations for agent candidates, including preparation of the agent hire packet. The position requires flexibility to work a 28‑hour work week as determined by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
Conduct extensive background investigations for agent candidates.
Prepare agent hire packets.
Work flexible hours as determined by the supervisor based on a 28‑hour work week.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
Or an associate’s degree plus two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).
Or a high school diploma plus four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).
Experience in probation and parole work.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified law enforcement officer (active or retired).
At least 10 years of experience in background investigation.
