Overview The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Business Analyst bridges business objectives with technology capabilities across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Working within an agile team, you will translate customer needs into tangible products, craft user stories, manage backlogs, and ensure alignment between product vision and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a Product Owner to shape end‑to‑end product strategy and determine business value.

Elicit requirements to accomplish team goals.

Support Product Owners in coordinating with other teams and leadership to align strategy with overall vision.

Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for clarification of requirements and guide development of user stories.

Make high‑level decisions across the team on behalf of the Product or Senior Product Owner.

Synchronize with Product Owners on priorities and daily decision making.

Use market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining a backlog 3–4 sprints ahead of the team.

Define, implement, and track performance metrics once a solution enters production.

Prepare and support the team on product demos.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Minimum of 2+ years of strong experience in a business analyst role.

Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Python).

Familiarity with agile ceremony facilitation.

Experience creating and managing key performance indicators (KPIs).

Understanding of the healthcare provider ecosystem.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Experience with data analytics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, prioritization, and desire to learn.

Relationship building with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of agile work processes.

Detail‑oriented thinking while seeing the big picture.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Preferred Skills

Background that combines healthcare provider knowledge with expertise in high‑quality analytics product delivery.

Compensation Minimum base rate: $95,555.20 per year. Pay is benchmarked against market data and may vary based on experience, education, certifications, and other factors. Full‑time positions include comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
