Document Center Document Technician Who We Are

Overview This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient scanning of documents and the maintenance of Document Center scanners.

Responsibilities What You’ll Do

Machine Maintenance: Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on Document Center scanners on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as well as logging any service‑related issues.

Document Scanning: Responsible for scanning all documents and accurately capturing data for the purpose of image retention.

Quality Control: Perform quality control on all documents prior to scanning to ensure that they are properly batched and that all documents are accurately transferred to the specific image‑retention application post‑scanning.

Training: Responsible for conducting training on document scanning and quality assurance for temporary and full‑time support staff.

Communication: Responsible for effectively communicating with the Document Center management team regarding workload, issues or errors.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications What You’ll Need

A strong operational understanding of production scanning and scanner maintenance.

A strong understanding of imaging‑related software – specifically Documentum, Kofax Capture, Captiva Capture and Omniform Filler.

Demonstrate effective skills in the use of PC applications; strong understanding of Windows.

A strong understanding of Oracle (a plus).

A strong understanding of all document preparation, scanning and indexing requirements.

Ability to lift boxes that weigh up to 40 lbs.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Able to work well within a team by holding yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.

Must be detail‑oriented and organized to be able to work effectively under pressure while coordinating multiple tasks at a time.

Capable of taking direction from more than one manager in an environment where constructive feedback is encouraged.

Must be able to type 35 WPM.

Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends as SAG‑AFTRA determines necessary to meet its business needs.

Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in imaging services: scanning and indexing documents preferred.

Familiar with Kodak i5250v scanner or equivalent.

Familiar with document management applications such as Documentum, Kofax Capture, Captiva Capture and Omniform Filler.

Preferred Background

Technologically and mechanically savvy.

Self‑sufficient with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

Detail‑oriented with the ability to focus on tasks for long periods of time.

Able to multi‑task effectively without compromising quality or productivity.
