Yale New Haven Health is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Easton, CT. This full‑time, call‑based position requires flexibility to provide anesthesia services during off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Clinical Care - Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.

Professional Skill - Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures; continuously monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry according to ASA guidelines.

Information Management - Ensure appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements; protect information from unauthorized access.

Quality Management - Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.

Professional Development - Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.

Qualifications Education:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist; completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program; current Connecticut Nursing License; APRN licensure in Connecticut.

Experience:

Prefer clinical experience as a CRNA within the specialty/service line, though none required; must be appointed to the affiliated medical staff and credentialed through the medical staff process.

Licensure:

AANA Certification; State of CT RN and APRN License; ACLS, DEA Registration, and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration.

Special Skills:

Sharp concentration; ability to stay calm under stress; clear communication with surgeons, support staff, patients, and families; flexible and adaptable to changing environments.

Physical Demands Intellectual‑conceptual, integrative, and quantitative abilities; observation, communication, and motor functions; moderate physical effort such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods, and operating under lead exposure for fluoroscopy/X‑Ray cases. Requires sensory acuity, good vision and hearing, and the ability to negotiate patient care environments.
