Description
This contract position is available on-site and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our medical practice while providing essential radiology services to our patients.
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical imaging results, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our radiology department and directly impacts patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to determine patient diagnoses
Provide expert consultations on imaging findings and treatment recommendations
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the radiology department
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
Stay updated on advancements in radiology and imaging technology
Train and supervise junior medical staff as necessary
Requirements
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
Valid medical license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
Completion of residency in Radiology
Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and protocols
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Experience in a clinical setting preferred
Schedule: 8a-5p, specific dates
Setting: Remote
Daily Volumes: 50 MR, 25 CT, 15 US, 40 XR
Cases: STATS
PACS: Intelebrowser
Must be board-certified
