Serves as Assistant District Maintenance Engineer (ADME) in District One. Assists the District and Counties in the investigation of highway related problems and complaints. Investigates complaints and requests, makes recommendations for maintenance repairs or actions necessary to solve problems and follows through solutions effectively. Meets with property owners, city and county officials, and other agency officials regarding complaints and solving problems. Coordinates and manages the current Maintenance Management Systems (HMMS, EAMS, Agile Assets, etc.) in District One. Cross-checks monthly reports for each County and corresponds for accuracy and adherence to the Business Rules. Coordinates with Director of Maintenance Office to resolve District level issues. Manage the District pipe camera inspection program for District One. Coordinates, schedules, and preform all necessary pipe inspections in the District. Responsible for maintaining pipe camera and trailer. Assists the DME and District Engineering Administrator with special projects and other maintenance activities. Reviews and assists in the development and implementation of county plans such as Snow/Ice, Debris Management, and IRVM. Reviews and coordinates herbicide purchases with counties and ensure adherence to herbicide manual and IRVM plan. Reviews purchase orders and requisitions making recommendations concerning compliance with procurement code, district, and departmental policies. Supervises shifts as needed during inclement weather and other emergencies. Provides guidance and direction to Counties and any coordinated efforts outside the District as needed. Maintains communications and reporting with DOM Office and senior management. Assist the Counties with the Bridge Deficiencies that are assigned to each county unit in District One.

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and six (6) years of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions of this position involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. This position may require travel. This position may require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling. This position required driving and walking for extended periods, treading rough and uneven terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and natural environmental hazards. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies. This position may be exposed to outside environment in all weather conditions and noise.

May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous weather or emergencies.
