Senior Operations Supervisor – Plasma Center The Senior Operations Supervisor is a critical leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the plasma donor center, overseeing donor floor operations, supervising staff, and supporting compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Pay Range:

$26.40 – $39.60 per hour (DOE).

Primary Responsibilities

Act as leader in the absence of the Center Manager, performing all tasks within the plasma center.

Oversee donor operations and supervise operation supervisors and donor center staff during assigned shifts, including staffing coordination, task assignments, break schedules, and coaching.

Create employee schedules to accommodate donor cycles.

Determine and adjust inventory levels of all goods and supplies, compile and submit orders to vendors.

Inform Center Manager of any irregularities and provide action plans to improve and correct deficiencies.

Execute daily operational plans to achieve performance targets related to donor throughput, quality, and productivity.

Partner with Center Manager and Quality team to identify and resolve deviations or operational concerns in real time.

Monitor donor flow and proactively address delays or service issues to ensure an exceptional donor experience.

Maintain familiarity and compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA SOP Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal procedures.

Supervise donor selection, plasma collection, and all manufacturing records to maintain production standards in accordance with regulations.

Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, etc.

Ensure accurate documentation of necessary records.

Assure facility is maintained clean and equipment in good working order.

Submit timely and accurate reports as required by the Center Manager.

Assist in controlling center donor funds.

Participate in onboarding, training, and cross‑training of staff.

Maintain active communication with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality.

Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Report unsafe situations or conditions to area lead, supervisor or manager.

May be trained to repair plasma center equipment.

Assist the Center Manager in any task necessary in pursuit of company objectives.

Education

High school diploma or GED.

Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Center Technician, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer.

CPR Certified.

Experience Typically requires 6 years of related experience with performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties with demonstrated proficiency.

Equivalency Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Exceptional customer service skills.

Proficient in speaking and writing English, with legible handwriting; where applicable, bi‑lingual skills.

Ability to understand, explain, and follow SOPs and protocols.

Ability to work flexible scheduling.

Ability to perform in a highly regulated, operations intensive, high‑volume medical business.

Occupational Demands

Work in a plasma center, exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms.

Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment.

Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while operating plasma freezers.

Use of personal protective equipment such as eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear.

Standing 4‑6 hours per day and sitting 1‑2 hours; bending and twisting of neck and waist; frequent hand, foot movements.

Light lifting of up to 15 lb. with maximum lift of 50 lb.; may reach below shoulder height.

Hearing acuity essential; color perception/vision with correction to 20/30 and 20/100 respectively.

Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.

Work independently and under guidance of written instructions.

Compensation and Benefits The estimated pay range in Calexico, CA is $26.40–$39.60 per hour. The position is eligible for up to 15 % of the company bonus pool. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, up to 5 % 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.
