Senior Operations Supervisor for Plasma Center Senior Operations Supervisor for Plasma Center at Grifols – a global healthcare company that has been improving health and wellness since 1909.

Responsibilities

Act as leader in the absence of the Center Manager and perform tasks across the plasma center.

Oversee donor operations, supervise Operation Supervisor(s) and donor center staff during assigned shifts, including staffing coordination, task assignments, break schedules, and coaching.

Create employee schedules that accommodate donor cycles.

Determine adequate inventory levels of all goods and supplies, compile and submit orders to vendors.

Report irregularities to the Center Manager and provide action plans to improve and correct deficiencies.

Support and execute daily operational plans to achieve center performance targets related to donor throughput, quality, and productivity.

Partner with the Center Manager and Quality team to identify and resolve deviations or operational concerns in real time.

Monitor donor flow and proactively address delays or service issues to ensure an exceptional donor experience.

Learn and maintain familiarity with all state and federal regulations, FDA‑approved SOP manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal procedures.

Supervise donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Attend all required training sessions and staff meetings.

Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records.

Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order.

Submit timely and accurate reports as required by the Center Manager.

Assist in managing center donor funds as directed.

Participate in onboarding, training, and cross‑training of staff.

Maintain active communication with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality.

Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Report unsafe situations or conditions to the appropriate lead, supervisor, or manager.

Be trained to repair plasma center equipment if necessary.

Assist the Center Manager in any task necessary to pursue company objectives.

Education

High school diploma or GED.

Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Center Technician, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer.

CPR Certified.

Experience Typically requires 6 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties with demonstrated proficiency to handle difficult situations.

Skills & Competencies Exceptional customer service skills, proficiency in speaking and writing English, legible handwriting, bi‑lingual skills where applicable, ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols, flexible scheduling, ability to work in a highly regulated, operations intensive, high‑volume medical business where donor and employee safety and plasma quality are paramount.
