Accountant – Private Family Business
One of our clients is looking for an Accountant to support the accounting operations of a private family business with multiple entities across various industries.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the company's day-to-day accounting operations.
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Oversee Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Handle bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Process payroll and related tax filings as required.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Work with external CPAs or auditors for year-end reviews and tax filings.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits and internal review.
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and GAAP principles.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Compensation:
$60,000 - $65,000 per year
