Service Lead for Azure APIM role involves managing and maintaining critical applications within the ASM framework.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Application Support: Provide leadership in various service operation processes, including incident management, configuration management, change management, release management, and applications support.
Azure APIM Expertise: Support the development and administration of APIs in the Microsoft Azure platform utilizing Azure API Management (APIM) solution.
API Creation: Create new APIs based on customer business requirements.
Migration and Refactoring: Migrate and refactor existing APIs from legacy solutions to APIM.
Desired Skills
Azure APIM Concepts: Familiarity with the fundamentals of Azure API Management, including its purpose, features, and capabilities.
API Management Best Practices: Familiarity with API concepts such as SOAP, REST, and Open API; knowledge of API gateway functionality, security, and performance optimization.
Azure Services Integration: Ability to integrate Azure APIM with other Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid).
Developer Engagement: Experience engaging with developers, understanding their needs, and providing effective API solutions.
Analytics and Monitoring: Proficiency in monitoring API usage, performance, and analytics within Azure APIM.
API Gateway Knowledge: Understanding of API gateway concepts and best practices.

Overall 12+ years in managing and maintaining critical applications within the ASM framework.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Azure API Management: involved in complete API lifecycle.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in API Gateway: Familiarization with the gateway, Backend Services.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Components of Azure API Management.
Education: A relevant degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Certifications: Consider certifications related to Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
Experience: Proficiency in managing Azure APIM services.
